About the Artist

Artistic Statement

I am a Miami native who creates portraits in paint that capture the subtle changes and moods of my favorite subject, Nature.

I receive my inspiration from the divine order of nature.  I sense the effects of that order all around me.

Much of  the natural world's intrinsic beauty goes unnoticed because of our fast paced technological world.  No one takes the time to really look close and contemplate the beauty and uniqueness of the most common things in our environment.  When I look closer I find subtle clues to God's order that maybe apparent only to me. I believe my role as an artist is to preserve these images of God's order and tranquility.  I offer up my paintings as a form of praise to the ultimate Creator.

My contemporary oil paintings show a unique color sense that enables me to capture an elusive and dramatic quality of light.  By recreating patterns of light and rhythms that occur naturally, I draw the viewer into the introspective moods of my paintings.
